Clinic Membership
The clinic membership offers veterinarians OVMA’s best membership value. Clinic veterinarians receive all of the benefits of an individual membership, plus:
- A free OVMA customer satisfaction survey each year
- A free consultation with a member of OVMA’s practice management team each year
- Discounts on non-DVM staff registrations to OVMA conferences, seminars and workshops
- A 10% discount off the usual member rate for OVMA Veterinary Classified advertising
New Option for your Clinic Membership!
Practice managers can now be included in your Clinic Membership. For only $190, you can now choose to purchase membership for your practice manager, allowing them to call OVMA on your behalf and access information that would otherwise be provided only to clinic owners. This can save you loads of time, allowing you to delegate necessary research to your practice manager.

Calculating Clinic Memberships
The cost of a clinic membership is $655 per clinic per year for a one veterinarian clinic, plus $190 for each additional veterinarian (including partners and associates, but not locums) working part-time or full-time in the clinic (see chart on application form). To maintain your clinic membership, every veterinarian in the clinic must be an OVMA member.
What if a veterinarian leaves or joins the practice during the year?
- If a veterinarian who is registered as an OVMA member as part of a clinic membership leaves the clinic during the course of the membership year, that veterinarian remains an OVMA member for the duration of the membership year.
- A veterinarian hired by a member clinic to replace a departing veterinarian during the membership year automatically becomes an OVMA member at no additional cost to the clinic, if he/she was not already a member.
Added Bonus! Each member clinic is also entitled to add one more veterinarian (in addition to any veterinarians hired to replace departed veterinarians) as a member during the course of the year at no additional charge.
If more than one additional veterinarian joins the clinic during the course of the year, and the veterinarian is not already an OVMA member, the clinic would be required to register the veterinarian as an OVMA member by paying the required fee for an additional veterinarian. The fee would be pro-rated to reflect the number of months left in the membership year.
Should a veterinarian join or leave the practice during the membership year, the practice is asked to advise OVMA of the change as soon as possible.
