OVMA offers veterinary students a four-year FREE trial of OVMA products, services and information that practice owners, associates and industry members pay to access. Below is a sampling of the kinds of benefits OVMA membership affords students. What does OVMA offer students?
Free Stethoscope! OVMA welcomes all first-year OVC students to the veterinary profession with a free stethoscope.
OVMA Student Bursary Program: OVMA provides $1,500 in bursaries and awards each year to OVC students with demonstrated financial need. Contact OVC Student Financial Services for details.
Enhance Your Veterinary Education: As the North American leader in veterinary economic research, OVMA delivers specialized seminars at OVC. These seminars cover topics that affect both practice owners and associate veterinarians, such as running a practice, looking for a job, achieving a work-life balance, and real life stories (i.e., how veterinarians from around the province manage to achieve success personally or financially). Lunch break seminars are advertised to students via email and on-campus posters. Other seminars take place in collaboration with OVC faculty during regularly scheduled classes.
