| November 8, 2011 | My name is Tiffany Cheung, and I am a third year student in the biology, co-op education program at the University of Waterloo interested in interviewing for a full-time position as Veterinary Assistant from May 2012 to August 2012. I wish to take this co-op opportunity to find a placement in a veterinary clinic/hospital located in Toronto, Scarborough, Waterloo or Markham. As a student who is studying biology, I plan to specialize in animal physiology and take additional zoology courses to further enhance my knowledge regarding animals. I have been placed in the Dean's Honours list since my second year of university (2A); however, I believe that experience is the key to understanding the responsibilities and pressure a veterinarian must endure while working. I am hard working, reliable, and willing to learn. Additionally, I have experience as a receptionist to further enhance my communication and interpersonal skills. Nonetheless, I understand that with seldom knowledge, I am to work from the basics, and so I am not afraid to get dirty and work longer hours if necessary. You can reach me at tifacheung@gmail.com or at 647. 271.8380, and I would be more than happy to provide you with additional information about myself and my personal experiences. Thank you for your time and consideration. |
| October 24, 2011 | I am an eager OVC prospect and recent university graduate looking to gain experience working with large animals. I have excellent grades and a very good MCAT score, and I am overall a top-notch candidate for veterinary college. I currently work at a small animal clinic where I do everything from keeping the kennel clean to taking radiographs and administering medications. I also answer phones, speak with clients, and do minor repairs around the clinic. I'm reliable, dependable, and willing to help out with anything that needs to be done, either volunteer or paid. Most importantly, I am hard-working, not afraid to get dirty, and passionate about veterinary medicine! I have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, exotics, and wildlife, and I can provide a detailed resume and a reference from my current employer. I own a reliable pick-up truck and would be willing to re-locate for the right placement. Fewer vets are going into large animal medicine than ever before, and I am looking for a veterinarian who will introduce me to large animal work and who is interested in mentoring a future vet to someday continue in the field. You can contact me at n.scodras@utoronto.ca. |
