Corporate Partner Program

The Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) places tremendous value on the working relationship it has cultivated with industry companies and their individual representatives. It is a partnership that has advanced the profession and enhanced the promotion and protection of animal and human health in Ontario.

As this partnership has developed, industry companies and the Association have often approached each other to determine how they might work together to address common issues as well as to determine how they can play a stronger role in veterinary related initiatives. Industry partners are also seeking to make use of OVMA’s economic research capabilities to identify veterinary trends, preferences and capabilities with increasing frequency. To address these needs, OVMA is creating a formalized program that will allow Corporate Partners greater access to OVMA resources and foster greater cooperation on issues of mutual interest.

Introducing the OVMA Corporate Partner Program

OVMA is extending the opportunity to industry companies to work more closely with the Association on issues of common concern, and tap into OVMA’s cutting-edge research on veterinary economics and business practices.

Information Sharing

OVMA is a world leader in veterinary economics, conducting economic research not only in Ontario, but across North America. This research produces significant insight into the latest practice management trends in the veterinary profession. As an OVMA Corporate Partner, you will:

  • be invited to an annual breakfast forum where OVMA’s Director of Research will provide an economic update on the latest developments in both companion and food animal practice;
  • receive a written Annual Economic Report, Locum Report, Non-DVM Wage Report, and Fee Guides;
  • receive the annual Veterinary Activity Index that measures veterinary clinics’ changes in revenue, expenses, and production on a monthly basis; and
  • have the opportunity, every 3 years, to include an appropriate economic-related question in OVMA’s economic survey. This is a highly noteworthy benefit we are pleased to be able to offer to Corporate Partners as part of this new program.

Government Relations

Effective government relations strategies demand the establishment of strategic partnerships. As part of this program, partner representatives would be invited to an annual OVMA/Corporate Partner policy roundtable to tackle current and future mutual issues affecting their company specifically and the profession as a whole.

Partnership Opportunities

Being in the know is half the battle to staying on top. All OVMA Corporate Partners will be the first to be notified about new Association initiatives, activities and partnership opportunities. Corporate Partners will also receive:

  • copies of communication materials that are sent to OVMA members, such as our electronic newsletter, government relation updates, broadcast faxes, urgent updates, etc;
  • two copies of each edition of Focus;
  • access to the password protected, member’s area of the OVMA website; and
  • advance notice of and invitations to OVMA events.

Marketing Assistance

OVMA believes that industry partners actively working to enhance veterinary medicine should be recognized by the profession. The Association will therefore be promoting our Corporate Partners in a variety of ways. Corporate Partners will:

  • receive the opportunity to be profiled in OVMA’s Focus Magazine;
  • be provided with opportunities to use the OVMA Corporate Partner logo;
  • receive an OVMA Corporate Partner plaque for display;
  • have their company logo with a click-through to their corporate website appear on www.ovma.org;
  • be able to use the tagline "An OVMA Corporate Partner" at OVMA events;
  • have their Corporate Partner fee included in the calculation used to allocate exhibit space at the OVMA Conference & Tradeshow; and
  • receive a free Buyer’s Guide listing in OVMA’s annual Member’s Directory.

As an OVMA Corporate Partner, your company will be able to access all of these benefits for an annual fee of $5,000.
