This one-day lecture and wet lab will teach basic ultrasound physics, the components of an ultrasound machine, artifacts, how to properly prepare a dog or cat and how to scan all the organs within the abdomen. This course is intended for DVM's, RVT's, and any other healthcare professionals that are new to ultrasound and diagnostic imaging. Previous scanning experience is not necessary, however, general knowledge of small abdominal anatomy and clinical pathologies is helpful.
