We are a small animal country practice located north of Belleville Ontario that has been providing service to our community for over 45 years.  Our well established and growing small animal practice is seeking a caring, compassionate and competent Registered Veterinary Technician.  Full-time or part-time position available, new graduates welcome.  Applicants should have good communication skills, work well with a team, have the ability to provide exceptional patient care and client education.  We are a progressive hospital where there are lots of learning opportunities with great support.   You will be working with a team of 2 RVT's, 6 clinic support staff and 4 Veterinarians.  We have a wonderful team that uses their various strengths to compliment each other creating an efficient and warm work environment.   We have in-house laboratory diagnostics and digital radiographs.  Anesthesia monitoring equipment includes, Cardell Anesthesia monitor, blood pressure, sPO2 apnea alert.   Duties will rotate through exam room RVT, treatment and surgery as well as occasional client service duties. This year our clinic moved into a new custom designed space.  It enabled us to continue our excellent care and service, with better workflow. With the extra space we plan to grow.  Currently we are a three full time Vet practice with skilled and well rounded support staff.  Our hospital is equipped with digital x rays including dental, two surgical suites, monitoring systems, warming units and everything needed to practice  gold standard care and service. Our new RVT will participate in surgery, hospital cases and appointments. Having lots of patient and client contact. Provide owners with education on prevention, wellness, illness and recovery.  Be confident in medications, anesthesia, restraint, and lab collection duties.  We would like someone who can help create protocols to continually improve our medicine and efficiency. We are willing and able to provide in house mentorship and support. There are weekly meetings and in house C.E on various topics. The compensation package includes, vacation, uniforms, continuing education allowance, dental and health benefits, discounted pet care and OAVT dues paid. Staff are often treated to holiday and achievement parties or outings. Peterborough Pet Hospital is a small animal clinic located in Peterborough, Ontario. Position open for a RVT for a full-time position at a progressive hospital where there are lots of learning opportunities with great support. You will be working with a team of 4 RVT's (combined experience of over 50 years) and 4 Veterinarians. The clinic is equipped with digital radiographs including digital dental radiographs, full new IDEXX lab, and 2 surgical suites. Our clinic houses 3 Veterinarians as well as 3 RVT's with a combined experience level of over 25 years.
