SAVE - Southern Alberta Veterinary Emergency - Practice Manager: SAVE is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead our team.  We are looking for a strong and motivated leader, with laser-focused attention to detail. The Practice Manager should possess excellent team motivation, recruitment, communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a team environment and be a self-starter. This individual should also be deadline driven, analytical and capable of prioritizing appropriately. SAVE is a 24-hour Companion Animal Emergency and Referral Facility, providing high standard emergency, urgent and referral services with the utmost compassion for dogs and cats. Located in Okotoks, Alberta, our hospital is a 7,000 square foot facility equipped with state of the art equipment, including a 16 slice CT scanner, digital xray, and ultrasound. SAVE provides emergency medicine as well as surgery and reproductive services by board certified specialists. Our hospital also provides a wide range of diagnostic testing and in-house laboratory services. Okotoks is 15 minutes south of Calgary, Alberta, and an easy hour’s drive to the Rocky Mountains offering year round outdoor adventure and recreation. The successful candidate should possess the following: Exceptional organizational and analytical skills; Proficiency in Cornerstone and experience in financial statement analysis; Strong leadership and communication skills; Experience managing more than 30 team members; More than 5 years of management in the veterinary field, with a strong preference for experience in referral and emergency medicine; Credentials such as CVPM, CPA or undergraduate commerce/business administration would be an asset. This position requires timely completion of monthly reporting, completion of budget and financial responsibilities, human resources and client services in the areas of conflict management, recruitment, marketing and business growth and development.
