This two-day course will discuss the practical issues of ultrasound of the gastrointestinal tract with Dr. Bob Hylands. The course offers two morning lectures and two afternoon scan labs. Come and learn a focused approach to scanning the GIT with a lecture that concentrates on helping you recognize and interpret normal and abnormal architecture and anatomy changes with pathology. The lab will focus on scan technique, image and equipment optimization, and the different approaches and anatomy.
Prerequisite: Basic Ultrasound
Dr. Hylands has written and published quarterly articles in the Canadian Veterinary Journal on Diagnostic Imaging. He is also an associate editor on the Veterinary Information Network (VIN.com) where he helps answer postings from veterinarians from around the world with respect to their own cases and the ultrasound images associated with them.
