Dr. Hannah Godfrey is a postdoctoral fellow in companion animal nutrition at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph. She completed her PhD under Dr. Adronie Verbrugghe, focusing on how macronutrient composition influences feline health and energy metabolism. Building on her MSc research in feline obesity prevention, she has authored multiple publications in this area.

In this session, Dr. Godfrey will present evidence-based strategies for preventing obesity in cats, from growth through adulthood, including nutritional approaches, feeding management, growth monitoring, and the long-term health benefits of early-life weight management.
