West Coast Veterinary Dental Services, 1350 Kootenay Street, Vancouver, BC
This course is intended to hone and perfect the extraction techniques learned in Small Animal Dentistry for Veterinarians - Course 1. Attendees will have two days to practice regional nerve blocks, full-mouth radiographs, and full-mouth extractions in both cats and dogs.
Please note that radiographic positioning will not be taught in this course. Participants are expected to be capable of obtaining full mouth radiographs without assistance, as a pre-requisite to attending.
Registration includes the following; course notes, a light breakfast, refreshment breaks and lunch. For the laboratory session, participants will be provided with the necessary laboratory materials, although it is strongly recommended participants bring loupes and headlights. As we will be working with cadavers in the lab, it is recommended that participants dress accordingly in scrubs or other suitable attire.
Please note that this seminar is for licensed veterinarians only. As per the position of the College of Veterinarians of B.C. and the American Veterinary Dental College, only veterinarians will be taught and given the opportunity to practice extraction techniques.
